-problem o issue?-
Nota d'uso
I sostantivi problem e issue vengono spesso tradotti con “problema”, ma possiedono sfumature di significato diverse. Issue è meno forte e possiede una connotazione meno negativa di problem; spesso può indicare dei punti di discussione: At the moment the premises of the show are an issue, al momento il problema è la sede dello spettacolo. A volte issue, specialmente al plurale, viene usato, anche eufemisticamente, per indicare i problemi psicologici di una persona: He has to deal with his relatioship issues, deve affrontare i suoi problemi di relazione. Problem viene utilizzato invece quando si tratta di problemi di difficile soluzione: The main problem now is that the roads are icy and dangerous, il problema principale ora è che le strade sono ghiacciate e pericolose.
